Consultancy Services via LURIS
Leiden Consultancy Services BV
Our experience has shown that results from independent research create a strong basis for effective interaction between science and business. The generation of new knowledge is usually taking place in funded research programmes in close collaborations with industry. This type of research may take several years to develop into a marketable product or service. For those organisations where these longer-term research projects do not fit within their overall strategy, we now offer short-term consultancy services: Leiden Consultancy Services BV.
Leiden Consultancy Services BV is a full subsidiary of the University which develops, facilitates and negotiates consultancy projects between your organisation and the scientists at Leiden University with a strong focus on developing a sound challenge statement, a coherent project description, clear understanding of the deliverables and mutual agreement on the contract terms, timing and investment required. Leiden Consultancy Services has just one simple objective: to provide easy access to a wealth of academic expertise in order to support you in your innovation activities.
Scope of consultancy services
We are focusing on high end consultancy projects that are both scientifically relevant and uncompromised in the marketplace. Consultancy projects may take place in any of the research areas of the University. Alfa, Beta and Gamma scientists can offer their services and expertise. We are able to make this work in your favour by combining multiple scientific disciplines into a joint proposition, targeted at your organisation and your specific needs. To give you some examples:
- Organisation of a 5-day course on University management and the Dutch Education landscape
- Research on suspected patent infringement
- Provision of cell culture facilities
- Provision of mathematical modelling expertise
- Provision of uncommon languages
- Transfer of blood samples for validation of a drug for rare diseases
- Setting up the service delivery framework for NeCEN
