Last month the research profile area “Global interactions of people, cultures and power”, in which researchers from the Humanities, Archeology and Social and Behavioural Sciences faculties are represented, presented its plans for the future. One of the initiatives is a monthly seminar, which will act as an intellectual platform for all researchers (including MPhil students) who are interested in issues of globalisation, both historically and contemporary. In order to make this work, we are making an inventory of Leiden based researchers who work in the broad field of ‘global interactions’. So, if you think your research has any relevance to what has been described in the plan mentioned above, please be kind enough to fill in the short questionnaire. This will get you on the mailing list for the soon to be published digital newsletter, and you will receive an invitation for the Leiden Seminar on Global Interactions that will be held on each first Friday of each month (13.00-15.00 hours) from September 2009 onwards.
